A Decade of Adventure
We stray off the beaten track to discover the latest emerging trends in advertising. Like how the UK has the most active online population in Europe, each of us spending £1,312 a year. Understandably, keeping abreast of digital changes is now more important to us than ever before. In a recent survey we found out what people thought were the 3 most memorable things from the last decade…

Flash & Trash
We continued our obsession with sub-lebrities; Jordan, Jade and Jude became famous for their notoriety, Big Brother consumed the nation and anyone with a digital camera became a pap. Sex tapes became show reels and we said Hello to Heat and Grazia.
Fashion got faster, with TKMaxx, Primark and H&M dominating the high street. While away from the high street arguably the most memorable phenomenon of the decade, YouTube, was taking over.

A mobile nation
Apple nailed it with the arrival of the iPod and changed the music industry forever. Intuitive technology steered us in the right direction with Sat-Nav, and Geocaching sent the world on a treasure hunt.
We were wowed with Augmented Reality and our phone became the one thing we couldn't live without. Mobile technology impacted on our ability to consume everything 'on demand' and we embraced with ease the arrival of IPTV and HD as the nation turned digital.

Here comes everyone
Can you imagine life before Google changed... well... everything?! The Internet's great success amid the dotcom frenzy was, and is, Google. Generating revenue from advertising bought across all Google platforms and services, it's a profit phenomenon - a business perfectly achieving its objective of 'organizing the world's information'. Google is now the online portal to the Internet - even providing web analytics to assess its users. In a world of too much choice, here is one brand that manages to simplify everything. Congratulations.
